The battle doesn't always end when military service does.

For thousands of veterans, the hardest fight begins after they return home. The invisible wounds of military service—including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma (MST)—can leave lasting scars that affect every aspect of daily life. While many see the end of a military career, veterans living with these invisible injuries often continue fighting a battle no one else can see.

At Canines With a Cause, we refuse to let them fight alone.

Our program empowers U.S. military veterans facing PTSD, TBI, and MST by helping them train their own psychiatric service dogs. Veterans attend weekly classes and commit to 300 hours of training across 6 levels and 5 certification tests. Thanks to generous donor support, the program is 100% FREE, helping veterans regain the confidence to handle daily life.

CWAC offers various fostering opportunities, allowing you to select the option that best suits your capabilities and lifestyle.

QPR training equips individuals with the knowledge and confidence to recognize the warning signs of suicide, compassionately engage with someone who may be struggling, and help connect them with appropriate support and resources.

CWAC offers QPR training on an as-needed basis to help individuals and organizations feel more prepared. Click below to learn more about QPR training and how to get started.
