Without the support of our volunteers and donors, Canines With a Cause could not sustain our life-saving programs including shelter dog rescue and no cost dog placement and training for qualified veterans in need.
VOLUNTEERING in the Salt Lake City region
Let us know if you have a unique talent or skill to help promote our mission. Are you a people person? Occasionally we need friendly folks to help staff our booths at events and fundraisers and let people know our our mission.
We need a limited number of volunteers to walk dogs between training classes on weekdays and have occasional group ‘field trip’ outings for the dogs in the prison training program. Complete to form below to join a team of great people devoted to helping our military Veterans, homeless dogs and Utah DOC inmates.
Use your ideas for fundraising-put on a theme party or event in your neighborhood to raise donations for CWAC, dog lovers enjoy K-9 costume parties, holiday photo ops, garage band concert, kids bike ride, have a treasure hunt, treat baking, toy making, a crate drive, the only limit is your imagination! These make great service projects for Scouts, Teen Church groups, High School clubs and sports teams!
FOSTERING in the Salt Lake City region
Being a foster family is fun and rewarding way to be involved in our program. Fosters are essential to the work we do, for the dogs and the veterans. Once we rescue a dog from a shelter, she may need a loving home until we place the dog with a veteran. A great short term opportunity is to foster a dog from our prison training program for the weekend. If a dog cannot complete the training program, he will need a foster home while up for adoption. We’ll provide you with a crate, food, and toys for the dog during their stay. If you could open your heart and home to foster a dog, please submit the form below.
